I am very excited to be a coach for STAR, the team that I swam
with when I was growing up. Growing up swimming was always a
postitive experience for me. I have been able to use these
positive experiences to teach the beginning and new swimmers to
make swimming a positive experience. Over the years I have
helped kids that could barely swim to progress to National
level swim meets.
Prior to coaching at STAR, I coached at the YMCA for 12 years
and was an assistanat High School coach for 5 years.
Besides swimming, my other interests are biking, hiking, music,
movies, and tae kwan do, where I hold a Third Degree Black
Belt. When I am not Coaching for STAR I work for Delta
Airlines.
Along with the rewards of coaching young swimmers from the
beginning to competition level, I am constantly rewarded by people
coming back to me and thanking me for their success in swimming and
life beyond the pool.
